Set up with VS Code
Add Unhandled to VS Code with one click, one command or one workspace config file.
VS Code agent mode reads Unhandled through the MCP server.
Connect
Install in VS Code adds it in one click, as does the install link in Settings > Agent setup. Or run:
code --add-mcp '{"name":"unhandled","type":"http","url":"https://unhandled.net/mcp/x/debug"}'Or add it to .vscode/mcp.json in your workspace:
{
"servers": {
"unhandled": {
"type": "http",
"url": "https://unhandled.net/mcp/x/debug"
}
}
}VS Code starts the server and asks you to sign in to Unhandled. The URL is the debug toolset. More options are in the VS Code MCP configuration docs.
Use it
Open Copilot Chat in agent mode and ask it to fix an issue by URL. It calls get_fix_context and follows the result. VS Code connects over MCP only, so unhandled fix and unhandled watch do not start it. For the GitHub-hosted agent, see Set up with GitHub Copilot.
